The present goals of Positive, Right Living (10-23-08)
The second goal is to learn about and choose to believe in the attributes of God and the spiritual world. In a world where most people no longer believe that God or the spiritual world exist, even the simplest attributes of God seem like nonsense. Not only is God still in complete control of everything in the physical and spiritual worlds, he knew what each of us would be doing this very day, before we were born. The fact that God loves everyone the same, saints and sinners alike, is a hard teaching for some people. God is so great that he is in direct contact with all 6.3 billion of us 24/7’s all our life.
The third goal is to choose to become positive in our beliefs, actions and words and thus direct the vast power of the good side of the spiritual world to supernaturally change our everyday lives for the better. This goal should not be used to get rich, but so we can have the good material things we need for a simple lifestyle. The application of this goal in our life is the main way can prove to ourselves that God and the spiritual world exist. When we choose to correctly apply this principle in our lives we will see supernatural changes in our everyday life that are beyond the laws of science and nature.
The fourth goal is to choose to live by the right ways written in our conscience from birth. The higher our motives and morals, the more peace of mind we will receive. God wants to give each of us a good life here on earth, but only if we obey His rules and expect him to be good to us. This is a personal goal whereby we strive to live by the right ways of God so we can live in His will for our lives. Living our life by right ways, in full view of the world is how we become lights to bring others to Christ in goal seven, but at this point it is more for our personal development.
The fifth goal is to choose to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and become Born Again, so we can receive forgiveness for our sins. We still need to repent and strive to obey the rules of conduct Jesus taught about, the same set of right rules that are written in our conscience form birth. This is as far as most Christians ever get in their walk with God.
The sixth goal is to learn, “Who we are in Christ,” and apply the principles in our life whereby we can choose to see ourselves as perfect, just as God views every person who is Born Again. Most Christians do not know who they are in Christ and therefore remain under the condemnation of Satan. As long as we believe we are dirty, fifty rags we will remain what we believe about ourselves. This goal is not a license to sin, but in fact, a great deterrent to sin because we will always become what we believe about ourselves.
The seventh goal is to develop the “Fruit of the Spirit” in our life by learning to accept the great love God has for each of us. Then we need to put our faith into action by choosing to passing the love we receive from God on to others, we will be seen as lights for Christ in this world of hate. We need to give love to others with no strings attached. When we give love, kindness, time, money, help, etc, we need to ask people to pass it on to others. If we buy someone a meal or gift, we need to ask them to buy a meal or gift for someone else. Many will not pass the meal or gift on, but for those that do without expecting anything in return, they will experience the joy of true giving. When we give without expecting anything in return, we are giving as God gives.
