How to get the Blessings of God (10-28-08)

There are different methods we use to get something from someone or an organization. Who we are and what we believe in usually determines what method or methods we can or are willing to use to try to get what we want. As we grow, mature, learn, and develop our methods of getting what we want will continue to change. How we develop our life will determine who we become and thus determine what methods are open to us to get what we want out of life.

Most people today only develop their worldly lives so they only have worldly methods of getting what they need and want out of life. Only when we choose to develop our spiritual lives can we learn how to use spiritual methods of getting what we need and want. Ironically when we choose to develop our spiritual life, our needs and wants change and what the world has to offer is not nearly as attractive as what the good side of the spiritual world has to offer.

Positive, Right Livingis series of seven goals that help us to develop both our physical and spiritual lives, with the main emphasis on our spiritual life. Only two of the seven goals have anything to do directly with our material life, but all of the goals will greatly enhance our everyday life and reduce our dependence on worldly ways.

A little background Information. At one time the program Positive Living was divided into two parts, Earthly Positive Living and Spiritual Positive Living. Earthly Positive Living was a method whereby a worldly person could apply spiritual principles to get a good material life without needing to believe in the existence of God or the spiritual world. It was an attempt to get worldly people to see God working in there lives before they needed to believe God existed. The system would not work because people would use it as a get rich quick scheme and never find their way to God or bother develop their spiritual life. There are millions of successful people who have applied the principles of Secular Positive Thinking to become rich and famous, but they miss out on all the advantages of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When I dropped the idea of Earthly Positive Living, the remaining idea of Spiritual Positive Living slowly evolved into my present term Positive, Right Living.Worldly ways of getting what we want or need.Takers cheat, steal, lie, trick, and swindle to get what they want. Givers are always getting hurt because they are the regular victims of takers. Givers are the backbone of society, they are the good hearted people who are working hard to scratch out a good life in a world that is falling apart before our eyes. Luck is one way to get ahead, that is why gambling and lotteries are doing so well. The most successful worldly people are the ones know they can make their own luck by applying the principles of Secular Positive Thinking to get what the world and their lazy, lustful bodies tell then they need and want.

Spiritual ways of getting what we want and need. When we choose to develop our spiritual life, our list of needs and wants change as well as our methods. When we turn our eyes toward heaven and eternity, the things of the world lose their glitter. When we choose to overcome the lazy, lustful desires of our bodies by making hard quality choices that always become easy in the long run, we are preparing our selves for victory in this life as well as the next.

Christians try to earn a place in heaven by living good earthly lives and becoming Born Again. They try to get what the want in this life by working their butts off while trying to live by Gods rules of conduct. All too often they must compromise their beliefs to get ahead in their everyday lives. The negative teachings and traditions of 2000 years have made the Christian churches the laughing stock of most of the world. The two biggest failings of most Christians are living under the condemnation of Satan and expecting difficult lives. They are going to heaven, but they have lousy lives and are failing to be lights to bring others to Christ.

Positive, Right Livingis not for Christians because their churches refuse to believe the positive teachings of Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen. Positive, Right Living is for the millions of good people who are already trying to live good lives and do the right things. It can greatly improve their everyday lives while developing their spiritual lives. It is more of a system to get all our efforts going in the right direction than a change of how we should live our lives. The following seven goals of Positive, Right Living are spiritual methods we can apply in our lives to get what we need and want in this life and the next.

The first goal is to choose look at the big picture of life by believing there is a God and spiritual world that is divided into two opposite sides, good and evil. The goals of Positive, Right Living are in agreement with the positive rules and laws of the good side of the spiritual world. Fame and fortune are seen as positive by the evil side of the spiritual world and its worldly followers. Fame and fortune are seen as negative by the good side of the spiritual world and in Positive, Right Living. Positive Right Living is not about living in poverty, the third goal is a way we can have more than enough, but we must not get caught up in a quest for fame and fortune.

The second goal is to learn about and choose to believe in the attributes of God and the spiritual world. In a world where most people no longer believe that God or the spiritual world exist, even the simplest attributes of God seem like nonsense. Not only is God still in complete control of everything in the physical and spiritual worlds, he knew what each of us would be doing this very day, before we were born. The fact that God loves everyone the same, saints and sinners alike, is a hard teaching for some people. God is so great that he is in direct contact with all 6.3 billion of us 24/7’s all our life.

The third goal is to choose to become positive in our beliefs, actions and words and thus direct the vast power of the good side of the spiritual world to supernaturally change our everyday lives for the better. This goal should not be used to get rich, but so we can have the good material things we need for a simple lifestyle. The application of this goal in our life is the main way can prove to ourselves that God and the spiritual world exist. When we choose to correctly apply this principle in our lives we will see supernatural changes in our everyday life that are beyond the laws of science and nature.

The fourth goal is to choose to live by the right ways written in our conscience from birth. The higher our motives and morals, the more peace of mind we will receive. God wants to give each of us a good life here on earth, but only if we obey His rules and expect him to be good to us. This is a personal goal whereby we strive to live by the right ways of God so we can live in His will for our lives. Living our life by right ways, in full view of the world is how we become lights to bring others to Christ in goal seven, but at this point it is more for our personal development.

The fifth goal is to choose to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and become Born Again, so we can receive forgiveness for our sins. We still need to repent and strive to obey the rules of conduct Jesus taught about, the same set of right rules that are written in our conscience form birth. This is as far as most Christians ever get in their walk with God.

The sixth goal is to learn, “Who we are in Christ,” and apply the principles in our life whereby we can choose to see ourselves as perfect, just as God views every person who is Born Again. Most Christians do not know who they are in Christ and therefore remain under the condemnation of Satan. As long as we believe we are dirty, fifty rags we will remain what we believe about ourselves. This goal is not a license to sin, but in fact, a great deterrent to sin because we will always become what we believe about ourselves.

The seventh goal is to develop the “Fruit of the Spirit” in our life by learning to accept the great love God has for each of us. Then we need to put our faith into action by choosing to passing the love we receive from God on to others, we will be seen as lights for Christ in this world of hate. We need to give love to others with no strings attached. When we give love, kindness, time, money, help, etc, we need to ask people to pass it on to others. If we buy someone a meal or gift, we need to ask them to buy a meal or gift for someone else. Many will not pass the meal or gift on, but for those that do without expecting anything in return, they will experience the joy of true giving. When we give without expecting anything in return, we are giving as God gives.
