Good Spiritual Living here on earth (10-14-08)

As the world continues to move away from God and the things of God, toward Satan and the things of the world, the less chance it has of finding real peace of mind and purpose in this life. I have not written many complete articles lately, I am working on an new area, I call Good Spiritual Living, which is living by good spiritual ways here on earth that is far beyond the physical ways of the world. As we strive to get closer to God, we will feel like we are on a one way street, going in the wrong direction, because the rest of the world is going the other way, away from God. The term good needs to be included in the title so we do not get confused with the Evil Spiritual Living pursued by the devil worshipers and such.

Christians have chosen to turn their lives around and head toward God and the things of God, but they only have their eyes on the heavenly prize and are missing out on the good life here on earth that God wants to give all of us. God wants to bless each of us, not just so we can have an easy life, but so we can become lights and bring others to Christ. “We can catch more flies with sugar than vinegar.” A good physical life is the sugar most people are looking for, it is sweet sugar that will attract others to Christ. The lousy, hypocritical lives of most Christians are the vinegar that chases many away from God and the things of God.

Positive, right living is the way for each of us to find our own way to God.

The difference between positive, right living and Christianity are slight, but yet they can quickly turn us into real lights for God, something most Christian churches want to do but are not able to do because they can not change their ways, they are hung up on their traditions and negative teachings. “When the blind lead the blind, they will both fall into a pit.” The course most Christian churches are on will only lead to more persecution as time goes on. I do not expect Christians to ever understand what I am talking about because to them I am speaking in Greek. I see a lot more promise for people who want to believe in God and the things of God, but have never found a church or have been turned off by Christians and their hypocritical lifestyle.

Positive, right living does not have a list of written tenets to be learned and remembered. The basic idea is simply that we need to choose to become positive in our beliefs, actions and words and strive to live by the right ways written in our conscience from birth. If we have ignored our conscience for a long time and have adopted the ways of the world as our set of rules of living, we have no idea how much peace of mind we have given up.

Positive, right living is a series of steps of growth, and each step brings us closer to a great life and helps us find real purpose in this physical life and development of our inter spiritual being. I thought when we became Born Again and learn Who we are in Christ so we can see ourselves as perfect, just as God views all Born Again people, we were at the apex of what we can expect in this life. I now see Good Spiritual Living as yet another level of living here on earth with additional blessings being stored away in heaven for when we die and go to our final reward.

Love is the Answer to continued growth in our Good Spiritual Life here on earth.

Gary Chapman’s, Love as a way of Life, is a powerful book that directs us to pursue a life purpose of loving others. The problem is until we develop a good life and are striving to live by the principles of positive, right living, we are not ready to give away love to others until we first come to grips with the great love much God wants to give each of us.

We have a hard time developing real love on our own, it is much easier to first receive the love of God that He gives freely to each of us and then pass that along to others. The more love we give away, the more love we will receive from God.

First we need to learn to receive the good material gifts God wants to give us, not to hoard or waste on ourselves, but to pass on to others so we will be even more blest. Second then, and only then, can we go to a higher level where we receive the love of God and then pass it along to others, this is the next level of spirituality that puts is above the material things of this life. There may be a way around the material things, but I doubt it because we need the material things to become lights, otherwise the world will not be willing to change their ways for some
