POSITIVE BELIEFS INSTEAD OF PRAYER

January 31, 2011

My faith in the Bible has been deeply shaken by The Case for God, by Karen Armstrong and The Teaching Company series, Lost Christianity. I know I have been influenced by the educated world, but at least I no longer have my head stuck in the sand as most Christians have to do to make their religion work.

The truth is in the eyes of the beholder.

My life is about finding the one set of real truths. I firmly believe that our purpose here on earth is to find the one set or real truths and to live by them. Einstein formulated the theory of relativity and quantum theory’s, but they have yet to be proved.

Relativity rel·a·tiv·i·ty [rèllə tívvətee]
(plural rel·a·tiv·i·ties)
n
1. physics equivalence of mass and energy: the first of Einstein’s two theories describing the relationship of matter, time, and space, showing that mass and energy are equivalent, and that mass, length, and time change with velocity.
The theory is based on two assumptions: that the speed of light in a vacuum is constant, and that physical laws have the same mathematical form throughout the universe.
Also called special relativity
Also called special theory of relativity
2. physics theory of gravitation and acceleration: the principle put forward in the second of Einstein’s two theories extending the principles of the first to gravitation and phenomena related to acceleration. Also called general relativity
Also called general theory of relativity
3. dependence on contextually variable factor: dependence on a factor that varies according to context
4. fact of being relative: the fact or state of being relative to something else

Quantum Theory quan·tum the·o·ry n

Theory about subdivision of energy: a theory describing the behavior and interactions of elementary particles or energy states based on the assumptions that energy is subdivided into discrete amounts and that matter possesses wave properties

My theory of the Universal Law of Life is believed by most everyone under the name of The Golden Rule, Karma, The law of attraction, and what goes around comes around. The Universal Law of Life is not a theory but an actuality in the life of every human. It is hard to see the relationship between our beliefs and the condition of our life until we choose to change our beliefs, actions, words, and thoughts, then we will soon see the difference in our life condition.

Control of the vast power of the spiritual world.

I doesn’t seem reasonable that we mortal humans have the power to control the vast power of the spiritual world. But we can control the vast power of the spiritual world, if we choose to believe and apply the following principles.

1. The vast, unseen power of the spiritual world is far superior to the fixed laws of science and nature in this physical world.
2. We do not even need to believe in the spiritual world or the Universal Law of Life for law to work, it is always at work in every human life.
3. There are two sides to the spiritual world, good and evil, so there are actually two sources of power.
4. Which source of power is working in our life depends on which side we align our life and beliefs with.
5. When we have both positive inputs and negative inputs they cancel each other out.
6. There are two opposing sets of positive and negative ideas held by the good and evil sides.
7. The positive ideas of our conscience and the teachings of Jesus are in agreement with the good side.
8. If we live in agreement with our conscience and the teachings of Jesus, the good side is our source of supply.
9. Living by our conscience and the teachings of Jesus are hard at first, but become easy.
10. The positive ideas of the world, Satan, and our lazy, lustful bodies are in agreement with the evil side.
11. If we live in agreement with the evil side of the spiritual world it will be our only source of supply.
12. Living by the ways of the evil side are easy at first, but always become hard.
13. We each have a hidden spiritual being we are developing by how we choose to live our life.
14. Our spiritual being will live on after we die, where it will reside will depend on how we lived our life.
15. God’s kicker, God needs to keep us under control so we stay within His perfect plan. It is kind of a wild card of life that tends to go against everything else. God will always have His way.

Prayer is often used as a plea or begging God for things, when it should be used for praise.

Prayer is powerful, but again only if we first believe that what we pray for will happen. Prayer is most often just words and/or thoughts which leave out beliefs, and actions the other two factors in the Universal Law of Life. The power of belief is stronger than prayer without belief, Christians believe this should be a difficult life, yet they pray often for Godly intervention, but they are still stuck in their lousy, hurting lives, doing without thihngs in hope of great rewards in Heaven. The truth is they could dwell in the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth if they would only live by the teachings of Jesus, by walking the walk and not just talking the talk.

When we talk to God or think to God, we are in fact praying. Jesus told us to pray continually, if we think to God by always being aware of His presence we are praying continually.

In The Image of God (2-14-09)

February 15, 2009

I woke up with the idea that when the Bible stated that Adam and Eve were created in the image of God, it was not a physical image as God is not physical, but we were created in the spiritual image of God.

The attributes of our spiritual image of God.

We know very little about our spiritual image of God. We have been given only a few hints about what our spiritual image of God will be like. Since our future spiritual life is beyond the reasoning of our physical minds we can not reason it out. If we were told all about our future spiritual life, this life would no longer be a fair test as everyone would strive to live by the laws and principles of God. The real secret of life is revealed by our spiritual image of God. We each have come to different beliefs, but if we diligently search for the truth, we can only come to the one set of right laws and principles of God. The following is my current list of the ever changing attributes of our spiritual image of God.

1. We are three beings in one, physical, mental and spiritual.

2. When we die our physical bodies and mind will die and we will become spiritual beings.

3. Our new spiritual being we will live on for the rest of eternity.

4. We have spiritual needs in this physical life that only God can satisfy.

5. We are subject to the spiritual laws and principles of God.

6. The laws and principles of God are written in our conscience and taught by Jesus.

7. Our “Test of Life,” is how well we live by the laws and principles of God.

8. If we pass our “Test of Life,” we will spend the rest of eternity in heaven when we die.

9. God is involved with all 6.3 billion of us 24/7’s, every second of our lives.

10. Somehow our entire lives are being recorded in the spiritual world for future use.

11. God created this physical world out of nothing and still controls it completely.

12. We each have supernatural power to control our lives by our beliefs, actions and words.

13. Out of our heart, our mouths speak, and our heart is the sum total of our beliefs.

14. We can not lie about what we believe, but we can lie about our actions and words.

15. We can choose to change our actions and words and thus change our beliefs.

16. There are two sides to heaven, good and evil, we pick sides by how we live our lives.

17. We can supernaturally get the things of either side of heaven by our beliefs.

Back to the Basics of God (12-5-08)

December 5, 2008

Eighty percent of Americans truly believe they are good people. The problem is they are not only judging themselves by the worlds standards, but they have their own set of standards that may not be in accordance with what Jesus taught in the Bible. Today the world accepts a gay lifestyle as an acceptable way to live is a sure sign that we need to get back to the basics of God.

Doing good to please ourselves or doing good to please God?

For many people, they feel they are good people if they drop twenty dollars in the collection plate once a week. The personal standards of many people are better than the world, but just a little better and then they are all to often just do good in front of others. There is something to be said for being closet sinners and public saints. Since we can not be perfect it is better to sin in our mind than with others. A couple of beer at home is better than a couple of beers at a bar. Mental adultery is less damaging than having sex with a married woman.

We as humans can never do good enough to please God, except when we choose to become Born Again by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, repenting and changing our lives, then God chooses to see us as perfect. Most Born Again Christians still see themselves as dirty filthy rags even though God views them as perfect. It is our outlook that makes the difference because God’s outlook is that we are perfect, no matter what we choose to think of ourselves.

Giving with no strings attached is real giving.

When we employ one way giving, where we give to others and do not accept return gifts or paybacks but tell them to pass what we give along to others, is real giving. When we give to get back, we are not really giving, we are loaning or investing. It is true that God will always give us at least double for our trouble, but only if we expect it. If we give God a thousand dollars so we can at least double our money, we have the wrong motive and since God always knows our motives, He always knows the truth. When giving, the left hand should not know what the right hand is doing. Public giving brings no rewards in heaven.

One way giving does not work very well with takers, they will seldom pass our gifts along, but we still need to give to them freely. Giving to takers is heaping hot coals in their laps, but they are hot coals of love when we give freely without expecting anything in return. God gives to sinners as freely as He gives to saints, but again how much we get depends more on what we expect then how good we are in Gods eyes. Sinners who expect to get double for their trouble will always get a lot more than saints that expect nothing in return. It is still ok for Christians to expect nothing in this life and only hope to add to their future account in heaven, except their lousy earthly lifestyle keeps them from being lights to bring others to Christ. The problem with building a good account in heaven is we can not see the progress or know the account balance, we are only hoping on hope.

Individualism

October 5, 2008

Individualism is the name I have been given for a new way to live your life by the good set of rules that are in your heart. Most people live by what they feel or what feels good, instead of what is right. Very few people choose to live by a bad set of rules, but in today’s world of humanistic beliefs, most peoples set of rules leave a lot to be desired. That is why you need to find a good set of standard rules to line your personal set of rules up with. It might be another world religion, but please search for the best rules you can. Since I am a Christian, I recommend the teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament of the Holy Bible as the best set of rules you can live by. I believe the entire Bible is infallable, but some parts of the Old Testament are hard for new believers to understand. If you deny the existence of God and the spiritual world, and let Satan and the world convince you there is no life after death, why do you feel you are still missing something in your life? Most people have no idea about what they are missing without believing in God because all the good things God wants to give them can’t be received until they first believe in God.  Many Christians say they believe in God, but they still have little peace and joy, most of them are not even nice. The only thing most Christians have is a hope in someday going to Heaven when they die, while they are living poor, unhealthy, lousy lives as martyrs. I don’t care if that is how they want to live, but the exapmle of their lousy lives are keeping a lot of good people away from God.

At first it would appear that the difficult road of a lousy life that many Christians live is the safest way, but doing without and suffering is often done as a work to get to Heaven by their own efforts. Heaven is a free gift from God, not something you can earn with your works, even if they are good works, even if you can have the best of intentions. Because, what is the road to Hell paved with? That’s right, “Good Intentions.”

My life has been greatly improved by the positive Biblical teachings of Joyce Meyer, but I think she goes too far toward materialism. Joyce Meyer has many good teachings about not seeking God for stuff, but many of her followers just want more stuff.

I think the middle road between the hurting, lousy lives of most Christians and the greedy excesses of materialism, may be the narrow road Jesus talked about. I like to call it the, “High Road to God.” It is a smooth road, so it is very easy with good things to live with and plenty left over to give away to others. But, It is narrow so you can’t bring a U-Haul full of stuff with you.

For the reasons why pride and other lies are keeping many from believing in God see, “Lies of Unbelief.” For the ways many people are trying to find God, see, “Paths to God.”

Anyone can have a better life, even if they don’t believe in God, all they have to do is apply two simple spiritual principles that work every time. One, you will always get what you expect, so just choose to expect a better life and you will get it, see “Believe and Receive.” Second, what a lot of people call Karma, is the spiritual principle, “What goes around, comes around.” Please read my article, ”Positive Biblical Teachings.”  Many people use the above spiritual principles to become rich, but yet maintain there is no God or spiritual life. LOL

I originally titled this article, “Christian Individualism,” but changed the name because I realized I was judging all other religions as being inferior to Christianity. I did not change the name to be politically correct, I am still not there. Now days they want us to say homosexual, but to me a queer is still a fag. I won’t even call them gay because I know they have unhappy lives because they are full time sinners.

God did not make rapists, perverts, child molesters, or queers. Sin is always attractive but it will always bring you to ruin, even it is legalized and winked at by the churches. If you think we can change Gods rules of conduct by saying an abomination is an acceptable way to live, go read about Sodom and Gomorrah.

I am sure many who read my articles will say, “Who does he think he is?” I doubt many will agree with me because that is always peoples reaction when someone does not agree with their thinking. You can keep your mind closed all your life, but be assured you will regret it on the day you stand before Jesus Christ to make an accounting of how you lived your life, and for a long, long time after.

You may think I am doing much damage to the Kingdom of God by taking cheap shots at the church. But, if the church is doing such a great job, why are there so many lousy Christians? Please, persecute me, or even kill me for my stand for Jesus Christ because I shall leap for joy, knowing a place is reserved for me in Heaven.

The Purpose of My Life

October 5, 2008

MY SPIRITUAL SIDE I have a human mind and live in a human body in a material world, but I have a spiritual side. When I die I will become a full spiritual being, but many people will not believe in anything they can’t see or touch, so they deny the existence of God and the spiritual world. You can live your entire life without believing in the spiritual world but there will always be something missing in your life.

I found the real purpose of my life when I started to develop my spiritual side. There are two opposing sides or forces in the spiritual world, good and evil. I have received many advantages in my earthly life by choosing to live my life by the rules of conduct of the good side of the spiritual world. I choose which side of the spiritual world I am living in by which set of rules I choose to follow. I find it difficult to follow the rules of the good side all the time, but the more I choose to follow them, the better my life is.

The purpose of this web site is not to preach to you, but to tell you about my life and hope it will get you thinking about your life and changes in thinking and choices you need to make in your life. My ever changing beliefs are reflected in the various articles on this web site. I hope a few people will read them and decide to learn more about the Bible and the ways of God on an individual basis.

Most people spend their entire lives without ever knowing what the purpose was for their life. The world says you need to get more, bigger, stuff. If you are not happy, it is because you don’t have enough money or fame. The problem is, no matter how much stuff you get, it can only make you happy for a short time, then you need more stuff to make you happy again.

Each human was made different and unique. We each were born with several spiritual needs deep inside of us. The following is a list of spiritual needs I have in my life, after you read my list of spiritual needs you need to determine what your personal spiritual needs are and how best to fulfill them.

I HAVE A NEED FOR A HIGHER POWER

There are many names for God, especially in other world religions. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, so God is the name of my higher power. Many people are following false gods and idols, some even think they are gods and can make up their own rules, and are doing OK, but they will never find real peace and joy in their lives. If they could just once have the real peace and joy of the one true God, the maker of the universe, they would know their needs in this life and in the next life are completely satisfied. Many people who claim to be Christians in mainline churches, are further from God than many people who are following the God of their hearts without ever attending church.

I HAVE A NEED FOR A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Ever since I realized my need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have been striving to do my part and now I have had many blessings in my life. In today’s world, few people realize they have a need for a relationship with God. Most people try to deny the existence of God or even the spiritual world, but they are only kidding themselves. God has been with you every second of your life, so you are the one not doing your part.

I HAVE A NEED FOR SPIRITUAL LOVE

I have been searching all my life for a love I could not find. I was divorced five times before I found out the love I had always been looking for, was a spiritual love, and God was the only one I could get it from and He was the only one who could receive the love I needed to give back.

I HAVE A NEED TO OBEY GOD

God wants me to obey His commandments and rules of conduct, not for His benefit, but for my benefit. God wanted me to have a good life here on earth. But until I choose to believe in Him, stop trying to make things happen myself, and turn my life over to His control, He could not start to change things in my life. I found out all I needed to do was to believe and God would do the rest, that is why we are called believers.

WHAT GOD WANTS FROM ME

God is complete, He doesn’t need a thing from me. I am incomplete and only God can give me what I need to be complete. As long as I wanted to be bullheaded and use my free will to waste my life, God respected my bad choices. God wants each of us to choose to believe in Him, accept His love, give Him our love in return, love others, obey His rules of conduct, and turn our lives over to Him so He can make a real change in our lives so we can bring others into His Kingdom.

WHAT GOD WANTS TO GIVE EVERYONE IN THIS LIFE

If people could realize the many advantages they can have in this life with a close walk with God, they would gladly walk away from the worlds ways and turn to God. The problem is, the good things God wants to give you are not automatic. First you need to be aware they exist and then you need to, on purpose, choose to believe in them before you will ever see them. Many Christians do a poor job of representing God because they have few of His blessings in their lives, they are expecting a difficult life, and you will always get what you expect.

All of Gods blessings are easily obtainable, just for believing in Him and turning your life over to His control. I go into more detail in other articles about how you can receive everything on the following list.

1. Gods protection and provision for a good, safe life, with plenty to give away.

2. A life with no fears, worries, regrets, or dreads, not even the fear of death.

3. Forgiveness of your sins through Jesus Christ, without Satan’s condemnation.

4. When you know who your are in Christ, you will have real righteousness.

5. When you get real righteousness you will get real peace and joy in the Lord.

6. God wants to change you into who He made you to be, but only when you stop trying to do it yourself.

7. God wants to be your vindicator and give your favor with other people.

8. Healing of your past hurts and troubles, God will give you beauty for your ashes.

9. God will give you at least double for your trouble, so don’t worry when you have trouble.

10. God wants you to know, in His eyes everyone is equal, if you are a sinner or a saint.

11. God’s plan for your life is better than yours, so stop begging for what your think is best.

12. Good health and healing for your body, but you must eat right and stop your bad habits.

13. You may need to develop a more positive attitude to get more good things in your life.

14. You also must do good and be good to others to get good things in your life.

15. If you simplify your life and get more in tune with nature, time will slow down.

16. You can also use positive verbal confession to make some wonderful changes in your life.

17. Every level will bring a new devil, but Jesus will give you the ability to tell Satan where to go.

18. The more you study the Bible, the more you will see God in everything in your life.

19. With God’s protection you will not even worry about how bad things are in the world.

20. Realize God has the ability to be in the lives of 6 billion people 24/7’s.

21. You one of a kind, you are a rebel, that is why you always felt like your are so different.

WHAT GOD WANTS FROM EVERYONE THIS LIFE.

To have all that God wants to give you, He expects a few things from you. What God wants from you will be a little different than anyone else, but the following is a list of some of the common things God expects.

1. Believe God exists and seek to complete your side of a personal relationship with Jesus.

2. Choose to accept the love God has always given you, then it will be easy to love God back.

3. Learn the good set of rules God has written in your heart and start to live your life by them.

4. Choose to love your neighbors as you are choosing to love yourself.

5. Choose to ignore the sins and faults of your neighbors, allow them to be imperfect, just as your will always be imperfect.

6. God wants to be number one in your life, and for you to learn how great He is.

7. God wants you to be good to others to show God in your life, not just in your words.

8. God wants you to develop the fruit of the spirit in you life so you will be light for others.

9. The hardest thing God wants from you is to choose to believe in what you can’t see.

10. God wants you to turn off your great mind and choose to have the faith of a child.

11. God wants you to give your whole life to Him, not just a couple of hours a week.

12. God wants you to continue to learn about Heaven and the rules of the Kingdom of God.

The Secret of Life

October 5, 2008
Your Spiritual Side

Our life can only be truly fulfilled when we acknowledge we have a spiritual side and strive to satisfy it’s needs. Our bodies are basically animalistic with common urges and lusts, and tends to be negative. Our human bodies can be directed to become positive if we use our wills to overcome our human feelings and desires. It takes a strong application or our will to overcome a habit like smoking or overeating. Our spiritual side is of a higher order or being that exists in a unmaterialistic, dimensionless world. Our spiritual side is a reflection of our morals or motives. If we have good morals and motives, our spiritual side is positive, but if we have evil morals and motives, our spiritual side will be negative. Jesus said, “Out of the good or bad stored in the heart the mouth speaks.”

All humans since Adam have had a spiritual side, it is often referred to as our soul or heart. It is the part of us that will live on after our bodies die. I don’t know exactly what it is, so I can’t describe it to you, but it is a part of each of us we can contact directly, just as we can’t contact God directly. We can pray mentally or verbally to God, but He also knows all out thoughts and feelings, that is why we can’t ever fool God. Our soul also is like God because it sees all of our hidden and open feelings and thoughts. Think of it as a hard drive in a computer that stores all of our thoughts, feelings, moral, and motives. Just like a hard drive in a computer we can overwrite negative data with positive data, but it will take some time before much of a change will be noticed.

Spiritual Principles At Work

There are some spiritual principles at work in your life all the time. They work due to power from your spiritual side, and they affect your human or materialistic life, but they are controlled by inputs from your human side or thinking brain.

The first spiritual principle has to do with what you expect, if you expect good things will happen to you, that is exactly what you will get in your life. If you expect bad things to happen to you, that is exactly what you will get in your life. If you are like most people, you expect some good and some bad things and you will then get a mixture of good and bad in your life. If you change your human inputs by changing your attitudes and beliefs from negative to positive, you will change what you see happening in your life from negative to positive.

The second spiritual principle has to do with the way your are treated or judged will be based on how your treat and judge others. Your spiritual side some how keeps track of how you treat others, and somehow has the power to give you back what you give out. If you have always treated others badly but are tired of getting crapped on yourself, you need to start treating others good and so you will someday get treated good yourself.

These spiritual principles greatly affect our human or materialistic sides and are controlled by our brains and human actions, but they have a lot to do with the condition of our spiritual side which is a sum total of the collected data on how we live our lives.

Spiritual Needs

Our spiritual side also has some needs that operate on a higher level in us and in the spiritual world, but they also need input from our human brain and actions. The only way we can ever feel satisfied in this life is when we strive to fulfill them by the properly recognizing them with input from our brains and actions.

Our first spiritual need is for us to believe in a higher power or that there is a God and a spiritual world. You can deny the existence of both, but until you do you will never satisfy your spiritual need for God.

Our second spiritual need is for a personal relationship with God. God has been with you every second of your life, all you need to do is complete you side of the relationship and continue to work on it the rest of you life, and you will satisfy this spiritual need.

Our third spiritual need is for love. We think we need the love of a human so we chase after it all our lives and never seem to find the love we need, at least not on a lasting basis. The real problem with love is what we really need is the love of God and that is why we can never find the love we need from other humans. We also need to have love, but again most important we need to give love to God in return for His great love for us. We also are directed to love our neighbors as ourselves, but we can only do that when we first satisfy or two way love with God, and when we can finally love ourselves in a balanced way.

Our fourth spiritual need is to obey God, not for what we can get, but mostly just to satisfy our need to do right. When we obey God we get a peace that the world doesn’t know anything about. Obeying God is not just doing good when we feel like it, but when we don’t feel like it. We humans will never do an adequate job of obeying God, but that is OK, because God doesn’t expect us to ever be perfect. Obeying God is a way of life or journey that will continue until the day we die.

All of the above are spiritual needs we all have, but God also has things He needs from us. The good news is, when we satisfy our spiritual needs, we are also taking care of the things that God needs from us, because Gods needs are one in the same as ours are.
